Bishop David Munyiri Thagana is the presiding bishop, founder and executive director of GOA. GOA International has branches in Kenya and other countries in Africa, GOA Engineer being one of them.
Besides his role as the Executive Director and presiding Bishop of GOA, he is also the General Secretary of the Federation of Evangelical and Indigenous Christian Churches of Kenya (FEICCK), an Umbrella body that champions the welfare of the Evangelical Churches in Kenya. Bishop David is also the Continent Director of International Leadership Institute for the English and Swahili Speaking nations of Africa.
Bishop Thagana won the DIAR award in recognition of being a peace and cohesion champion, especially when he was preparing people ahead of the elections so that they could embrace peace, love and unity. His heart for the hurting has pushed him to invest in compassion projects that care for vulnerable children and orphans. Rev Francis Waithaka is the Senior Pastor of GOA Engineer, together with his wife Pastor Loise. They started GOA engineer church, at a time they were considering starting a prayer center in Engineer. At the time, they met Bishop Munyiri Thagana, the preciding bishop and founder of GOA international ministries. It turned out that GOA needed to expand and reach more people around engineer area, and so the time was right.
Rev Francis has a degree in theology from Landmark Baptist Theology Seminary, while Pastor Loise did her theology studies from The East Africa School of Theology (EAST) in Buruburu.
Pastor James Kairu is an associate pastor of GOA Engineer.
